My 900th ever game. A couple of stupid misses because I basically premoved a lot of moves but I was winning the entire game anyways. Can't say it was perfect but I played pretty well apart from those misses and I even got what I think was a brilliant knight sac(the computer called it a best move instead but I'm going to annotate it as brilliant so everyone can see).

Obviously I won with the Dutch defense(this was a blitz game)

Congrats, but you’ve only played 900 games??? I think I’m in the 3000s just in online chess!

EDIT: 3800s…

Yeah I think it might be ~1000 games if we're including my old acc. It's prob because I've had moments where I didn't play a game for weeks lol

Guys I just won my first ever game for Team Canada in the match vs Team Czechia! The current score is 30.5 - 20.5 in favor of Team Canada so far!

My second game looks fairly even rn. I'm up a pawn but he's got a 2v1 pawn advantage on A and B files.

Instead of 2. D6 he should have played e6, likely going into 3. C4 Nf6. Terrible execution of the opening, but great win for team Canada! I know one of the main admins @WayneThomas or something like that plays the old Benoni, and someone else who I can’t seem to remember their name.

Also I’m intrigued by move 5, what was your idea?

Nothing much. I just didn't like the fact that if I played nc3 first then he could play something like f4 which would start to close the position when he already had a slightly weakened kingside. I wanted a more open position to launch a kingside attack.

Nb3???

Or bd3. Doesn't really matter I just didn't want him to play f4. Also what's wrong with nb3?
