Who on earth told you openings were for 1800+?? Learn openings. Not all of them, and try and go for the ones with simpler ideas, but defo learn openings

Qxe4+ Kxe4 50. c4 Kd4 0-1 I have been playing chess for some time and was quite good but began to lose (a consequtive 16 record times. :p) in blitz playing in the Ruy Lopez and d4 openings . however since I've used the english and this e4 e5 d4 style ive been winning often. Can you recommend from a quick analysis of this game in which areas I am good for my level and where i really need a lot of improvement? :)
