A Stupid Ratings Question

My rating is 1639, My average opponent's rating is 1650. My winning percentage is 56%. If my wining % is more than 50%, shouldn't my rating be higher than my average opponent rating?

No, because your rating is based on your most recent results not all your results.

Imagine you play 4 games:

1st opponent - 1300 rating

2nd opponent - 1400 rating

3rd opponent - 1500 rating

4th opponent - 2800 rating

Now let's pretend you won against your 3 first opponents and you've lost the last one. You have a 75% winning percentage (3 victories and 1 defeat) and your opponent average is 1750, but as you can see your rating would raise just a little bit as you won against weak opponents.
