I have had about three games where my opponent sits for 25 minutes hoping I lose or just leave, then unexpectedly make a move so that my time starts to run out.
@RS1650-16k no, i didn't notice any warning, It would be nice if they could add some kind of warning

"Made up" was probably not the best phrase to have used to describe the rule. Undoubtedly it serves a function in an online chess community not necessarily known for adherence to generally accepted standards of good sportsmanship. Bit of a pity that it's necessary though...

yup, I've played matches with people who just stall when they are losing and at like the last minute, they make the move.

I just lost because it said I abandoned the game, it said it one second after he moved, crazy
What should I do when a player stopped playing, once he realized that I'm going to win???
I was playing a 10/15, and I was thinking a long time, and all of a sudden it said I lost the game due to abandonment. I never abandoned the game.
