When I'm on laptop I can do other things while waiting, but on mobile phone I'm just literally getting irritated for over than a minute. If you clicked on PLAY then you have conciously decided to play, if by a mistake then next time you will learn to pay more attention to the play button.
At the very most 5 seconds a grace period then it gets considered as a resign.
Players that abort too often as a percentage of recently completed games get restricted so that they can't abort any more.
