The Abort/Resign Button should not be the same it tricks me all the time into aborting the game and then I end up resigning and losing points this should not be applicable to aborting a game chess.com should really change this im sure it has tricked me and alot of other people

Same here. I guess we learn our lessons and shouldn't abort so many games.

That being said, chess.com could at least make it so that the abort and resign buttons are at least different places on the screen to prevent accidental resignations.

if you quit the game after a move has been made then you should lose the game. you can't abort the game 15 moves in. otherwise large problems would happen with people abusing the system.

also if you just abort loads of games (like you have) i think the system picks up on this and treats abortions as resignations to punish people who constantly abort.

What's your reason for Aborting a couple of hundred games ?????

Actually, I aborted only 6 in a row because I wanted to play white (queens gambit) for a friend who was watching. It gave me black all 6 times and after only 6 it resigned for me. -31

you can put it in settings what you play. you don't have to abort six games.

But more often then innocently showing people openings, people want to play white to abuse the system.

The passive aggressiveness is strong. However now I cannot abort under any circumstance, so even if that was my intention, I payed a high price for it.

Passive aggression?

Indeed. Next time try an unrated game, in which you can choose your side colour?
