Could just be that not that many people are interested in that time control at the time you are looking. As to the abort question, it could be for a bunch of different reasons.

I have lately tried my hand at 2.1 bullet games. Why is it that about half of the games are aborted and you meet the same opponents so often? I have played the same felllow 21 times, and there were no requested rematches.
