Accidentally resigning in a won position

This is a travesty. I quit chess a few years ago and now I want to get back to my old level, but this makes me just wanna throw up my hands. I guess it's what I get for playing on a phone. Stupid resign button.

I play on a phone too. But never once have misclicked the resign button. On numerous occasions I have had mouse slips (more often than I'd like.)

I have no clue how it happened. I was trying to analyze so I could go back over the game and it just happened. I assumed my finger swiped resign by accident.

Okay, now I know how it happened. The previous move button is located immediately over the resign button. I was fast clicking to go back several moves and that's how it happened. I hate the resign button being located there.

The Resign button should be hidden somewhere, so that no one can accidentally click it.

Also, confirmation should be the default option.

Here's where it's located on my phone. I was repeatedly pressing the back button and resignation happened before I could react.

You're white? if so then you weren't in a winning position. Black has material advantage, his pieces are more developed and his king is secured.

You made one mistake before this game, you went to options and turned off the "Confirm Resignation" option. It's on by default. Turn it back on and this won't happen again.
