It sounds like a plug for another chess website. Chessplanet is an Austrailian chess website and doesnt even have chess.com featured under their 'cool links'. How could they!?

Although it does have a quote from the eminent Dr. G. Dullea on the front page to the effect of "Chess makes kids smarter". Unfortunately a Google search for Dr. G. only yields the chessplanet site, so it doesn't exactly inspire confidence.
I guess I just find those kid of blanket statements annoying.

It's double-edged...it refers to my love for 1. f4, and for the fact that occasionally, I play a BAD move! lol so it stuck!

It may have been intended as a compliment - if he meant idiot savant (although this is strictly speaking no longer an OK term).
