Not at all.I am an older guy and used to play upright bass in middle school Orchestra
Am I Too Late To Become A Chess Master?

I was able to read music, tune my bass, replace strings..etc.I quit the next year.I recently bought a cheap electric bass guitar and with the help of the internet....I am able to jam with friends about two decades later.I would imagine the same applies to chess.
Also, if you truly want a title one day, remember that you will need to be completely focused on chess, hardly anything else. It’s quite a big life commitment.
Good luck

It's very unlikely no matter what age you start, but if you have passion and work hard then the only one who can discover whether it's possible for you is you. Starting at age 14 or 15 does not make it impossible.
While it's good to have big goals, also set smaller goals, such as gaining 100 points by working on the parts of your game that cause you to lose (hint, it's usually not the opening). You'll have to study all parts of the game to keep improving (including tactics, strategy, and endgames). Read books and play in OTB tournaments.
This question is stuck in my head. Let me paint the situation, I am a freshmen (soon to be 16) I learned how to play chess about a year ago in middle school. I played everyday and became a very strong player. Even when Covid-19 hit I kept on practicing, books, puzzles, etc. I even managed to get my Highschool's Chess Club started and I'm my Highschool's best. I have a goal to become a GM by around the time I finish Highschool. But people say that you have to start young and other stuff. I'm very hard working and I learn quickly. I want to hear if my goal is possible and see if anyone can give me advice.
