As Maxwell Smart would say, "Missed it by THAT much!"
Am I Too Old To Be A Child Chess Prodigy ?
One prerequisite to becoming a child chess prodigy is that you must play and study chess full time for 5-10 years, just like every chess "prodigy".

For simplicity here is the proven bracket:
At womb, being listenting to ultrasound moves in morse code for openings: sort of good may be a GM
Age 1-2: Okayish, probably end up as a lowly 1800 and apply to mickey ds.
Age 2-3: A bit late, but still can end up playing in a OTB
Age 3-5: You are really pushing it. Mill, Mozart, Sidis all had their epiphany by their third year. They could recite Virgil, Horace and Gray's Anatomy with near perfect recall.
So ask yourself: How old are you?
I'm prepared to use wrinkle reducing oils, wear a backwards baseball cap and play Xbox if this helps...I'll do whatever it takes...
...(PS I'm 53....)
