Morphy would have developed his pieces first, like Bb7 or Bd7 instead of Kf7
Anand vs. Topalov Game 1 Coverage

a few question
the last question, why when i watch in the official site, it said 29.....Qxf5 , and a few mins. afterwards it changed to Qxe4?
Yeah, saw that too, and it even gave a follow up 30 exf5, dunno what happened there, lol
a few question
why step 24 is Nxf6 when he knows that he will just exchange for a pawn?
why 26.....Kf7 instead of Kg7 when Kg7 can threat the rook away?
also, why doesn't black play Rxc8 instead of resigning since after winning the white rook, there will be quite a difference in materials?
Hungman,
Nxf6 is a sacrifice to expose the white king.
And if black plays Rxc8, white will play rd7+ ke8 rxd4+ king move rxe4, winning the black queen.

If Rxc8, Rd7 + and the discovered check wins the Queen. If Kxc8, Qc1+ and mate on the next move. This is over.
I wonder if 29. Qxc7 could have saved the Black ?
but why do he need to expose the white king?
i can see the point of that move if it is getting out of the way for the rook attack
but i don't reli understand why he need to expose the white king when the king is way out of the battlefield yet? And if he did the sacrifiace, why didn't the king join the development?
and also how about if the last move is Kxc8?
would that make a difference of losing a queen or being mate?

reli appreciate if someone will answer my questionsss
Kg7 then Qxg5
Pfff I am for Anand, but Topalov crushed him. I don't know why Anand let Nxf6 happen, it seems so naive not seeying this.
