If I said that, My inference was more that He would be proven guilty rather then he would never see the outside world again. That's because the only reason he's out is because Romania's justice system is so slow that it would be bad to keep him in jail or in his house for that long.
And, I mean, if he isnt proven guilty at all, he's already irrelevent, so his scamming and reach is lot more limited now.

Regardless of Andrew Tate personally, police are known to be corrupt worldwide. They are likely just going after him just to jail someone who is extremely dislikable.

In the UK you will get arrested for saying anything offensive online, or while the police try to gather evidence against you, in such cases I believe they can only hold people for up to 48 hours unless they find further incriminating evidence, but they can and will often arrest people for absolutely no reason like the lady who might have been praying in her head while stood on a pavement somewhere in the vicinity of an abortion clinic, or the person that posted a meme of the nazi symbol over an lgbt flag.

Regardless of personal feelings over such things, they are hardly anything criminal that the police should be investigating, meanwhile if your house is being robbed or you are being held at gunpoint, the police won't be turning up for over 3 hours.

But simply try to speak to a police officer here and they can claim anything they want to jail you for 2 days, no criminal reason is needed, no law needs to broken, on release the report will just say 'no evidence of any wrongdoing '.

Oh and how about the 'We would like you to attend the police station for a voluntary interview' .... Well since its voluntary, no thank you ..... 'Because you refused to comply you are now under arrest'.
