Ah OK...but abort game without moves??? Still remain??

I'm finding it frustrating that when you change the perspective of the device (landscape to portrait or vice-versa) on the analysis board you lose all the moves made and it resets. Please can this be fixed. It is easy to accidently change the perspective especially on small devices.

I have only been on this site about a month. How long has this latest android app been out? I have seen a rook move from it's original position jumping other peices diagonally to the middle of the board. My issues are that I have to play on Facebook and a lot of the options are not available. If I were to sign in to chess.com from the website it is in desktop form and it nearly impossible to navigate. In order to do something like review a game you have to blow the image up scroll back and forth after each move and it's a nightmare. I love this site and there are a lot of options that I would like to be able to use. I would like to upgrade but until you can do everything that you can from a computer on an android I won't do it. On Facebook version I can not look up players or look at their profiles. I cannot figure out how to share a game I played in a forum. It would be a nice feature if you could watch games in progress of any games not just the top game.

3 suggestions for the Android app :) .... and 1 bug :)

SUGGESTIONS;

1) Add a little "phone" icon near the nickname if a user is online using the App :)  would be nice also for the site, so all the site users knows that many users use the app :)

2) Would be nice if over the icon of the app appear the number of moves you must to do, like notifications over facebook icon :)

very usefull for online (correspondence) chess players :)

3) In the completed games list (archive games list), would be nice if the statistics are complete like your archive game list in the site....with your nikname, the elo of the opponent and your elo at the moment of every game :)

Because by now the archive games list in the App... is only a list of nickname of your opponents.......you can't know and you can't remember what elo you was, the elo your opponent was..........

by now is only a list of nicknames!

THE BUG:

when i try to download themes in landscape position, theme download (often the peces download) give me an error.

if i try the same in portrait position...is all ok!!! :-O

another thing...very often the App crashes :-(

1. Nope.

2. Android don't do that badges other app launch icons, instead you can use rich options for notifications: Settings -> General -> Notifications.

3. We think it's fine now.

a problem;

very often this app give me this error : "Cant apply theme...out of memory!!"

And the theme is not loaded (the color of the theme is full gray)

but is not possible, ive a Samsung TabS ...!! TabS has 3 gb of Ram!!

Every time i control my free ram..ive always 1 gb of free ram.

is a bug?

These kind of errors indicates, that the device is not capable to load full sized image for the background(landscape and portrait), due to some OS or device limitations.

Total RAM of device doesn't matter here, it depends on OS version and firmware sometimes, like how much system allows app to take RAM. 

However we know about these errors/bugs, and I"m sure we will be able to fix it in near future.

 Premove or conditional move?

Conditional move is under construction. Premove(same as in Live Chess) is currently unsupported, very rare feature. 

Premove for live chess is in the app under settings (and I think it works). Are you saying here that it's a still a beta feature in the stable release or am I misunderstanding you? Thanks!

Pre-move makes no sense in correspondance chess, if you have conditional moves you don't need it.

A bug in settings live chess;

is impossible to save the option for Elo opponent.

standard option is;

-200 "my elo" +200

if you change, your custom settings not save.

if you come back in setting page, +200 -200 come back.

Yes! I believe I sent a request for pre move in live chess (in app) a while back. They were pretty helpful and said that they'll look into it after V3 (or making it a part of V3?)

Premove for live chess is working, it's not a beta feature.
