andriod app update pushed out yesterday

can you please remove the function offering a live game. I onky play the daily games

where is the tournament button? How can i see my ongoing tournemants?

New version for Android not working, at least on 4.4

I am not happy with the fact that this app simply doesn`t actualize my games. So I still use the computer instead. So the new design does not help so much, can not use the phone to play when I am outside. :-(

hi, in live chess the lowest row of the board is cut in half; highly irritating when you play a game. in the forum, boards are not displayed. Hence, the topics analysis, puzzles, etc. are useless btw generally like the update i use app on a asus t2 wiji

I have a more serious worry about the new app, it changes the position! At least in the 960 games it displays the wrong position of castles king and rook, has anyone else seen this?

There's not much that is displayed correctly in the app... And the Christmas season just is not the right time for a major overhaul I guess.

Nexus 7 (2012). I've seen two forums bugs. The first is that analysis boards and positions don't display at all on the forums, and the second is that threads get cut off at 20 posts (presumably one page) but then there's no way to view the rest of the thread. A third issue (not really a bug, but an issue) is that the threads are displayed with the newest posts on top. Usually it is just a personal preference of mine to have oldest posts first (like it is on the main site), but displaying threads with newest posts first makes no sense for the Daily Puzzle threads. I also am unable to view any of my stats. When I click on Stats from the menu or Performance from Tactics Trainer, it says "Error - Must be premium." I'm a gold member and my membership includes my stats! I figured this is just a bug, but if it is intentional that gold is not enough to see personal stats in the app then I guess this is a complaint. :( Overall, I love the increase in features on the Android app. I've been wishing for some time to be able to browse the forums, read articles, and interact with friends. However, I would like to echo the sentiments of many of the other posters here and suggest that a live 5|0 game not be the Home screen (perhaps the chess.com homepage, or the option to choose one's Home screen?). I have no desire whatsoever to play live chess in the app, much less with those time controls. Another suggestion would be to the ability to click on posters' handles on the forum and view their profiles, something that I find very useful in determining the weight of a poster's input on a position (i.e. their rating). I also have had the app crash twice. I will continue reporting crashes. Best of luck with the bug fixes.

And of course as soon as I post about threads being cut off, the page selection buttons show up! Please disregard that particular bug report :)

I just wish users could have an option to upgrade an app....my grandpa always said...if its not broken why fix it!  I was very happy with the "old" app....Is ok to update stuff with new stuff  but ....I wish it could be optional...

I agree, the home screen is loud and obnoxious trying to get me to play a 5/2 game straightaway... main complaint.  Give me a simple and logical menu to navigate as a start screen and give me unrated Tactics Trainer.

Crashed once during theme change, to DARK THEME white/black peices, black baground and green white board.  (Samsung Galaxy Note II connected to Wifi)  Had to reboot my phone

I thought the app was only in beta and you had to specifically sign up for it ... that's what I did initially.

Last I checked, a day or so ago, it wasn't quite ready for general usage as many things still don't work correctly.

Hi, could you tell where is the old apk? Could you put it on a server somewhere.

Question.....everytime I receive an email I delete it...why do I see a history of all emails I deleted? is only in the new app where I see it...is there a way to DELETE  them there too?

On nexus 5, I've noticed three problems

1. If I use the icon on the top right to list my daily games, all games are listed under the "their move" heading, making it impossible to know if it's my move unless I select each game one at a time to find out. Which gets annoying as I've to-do this each time a wan't to check if I've top make a move.

2. In the same section sometimes my name appears against the game instead of my opponent's.

3. I tried to challenge a random player in the daily games section (by leaving random as the selection in the opponent dropdown box), instead it challenged a player called random.

It is really unbelievable there is NO tournaments button! And no team manager button..... They are very important aspects of the chess.com experience. Much more important than themes, which is one of the areas of the new app which works flawlessly!

It seems he app was not even tested enough....please remove that annoying home screen that suggests you a new game.....annoying.....

Another issue.....the clocks on live Chess barely appears.....my phone is a huge galaxy note....please make the clocks bigger and visible!!!!
