andriod app update pushed out yesterday

First the app worked good but then after the last upgrade it crashed by just opening it. Deleted it and installed the new, recommanded app. Pity its a step back but new apps needs work, so I will do with this app for now.

Yes, the guys who are working on the app should create an official app thread in this forum where people can post about bugs and problems (plus providing smartphone or model make, Android version etc. Just saying "this new app sux " does NOT help!!!)

Is there any way to configure the new Android app to not constantly propose new games to me (both live and correspondence)? I just use it to keep up with my existing games but there are constant pop-ups to create new games.

Just uninstall and revert to the old app.

@Vladimurr: I uninstalled but didn't get a choice of reverting to the old version. Is that possible? I have an older Android version (2.3.5).

[CORRECTION: I reinstalled and it looks like they reverted to the previous version. Thanks! I really want dependable functionality first and foremost. Who cares about a pretty interface with a 1000 features if it's buggy!]

So the app is reverted back to the old app...but my problems still exist, it always (on every app start) asks me to re-login...and then that re-login fails. So i always have to logout manually and then login manually again...

Has Chess.com put out an update for chess.com ap for Kindle Fire. Mine requests an update and it only lets you see the old ap and it wont let you sign in. Its throws you into a loop where it asks for the update you click ok. Then it takes you to the Kindle Ap store you click the ap icon and it takes you right back to the game where it repeats the same update request. I have uninstalled and reinstalled ap. etc...HELP! I ove to play chess on Chess.com

Cant log on. Cant design custom games. Crashes constantly. The chat part of it is terrible!

Everyone that is "reverting" to old version needs to uninstall, then reinstall...

I play on android and one day I log out and try to log on and still dont and didn't let me and now am lossing games

Realised that the old app was reinstated.

Just want to give the people at chess.com some encouragements. I thought the new look was nice and it had some great features, despite the bugs and problems it faced.

Hope to see the new app when the bugs are resolved.

It looked very promising, and I liked the new features. Can't wait for the new app!

Hate the new app! We don't need the stinkin bells and whistles! Just wanna play chess. The old app was far easier to use, took up less storage space, and didn't crash all the time. Didn't we all have to deal with this already once! Why attempt to revamp the app yet again, after everyone already said they didnt like it and wanted the old version as is? If it ain't broke don't try to fix it!!

oh no the app got updated to the crappy one again.. it was a mess the first time around and still is. please give us a way to revert back. the old one was perfectly fine.

We will be uploading the older version for those who want it soon (it will be a separate app). Give the new one a chance ;)

I really like the new app, actually, but I can't for example find the option to play unrated live chess games, adjust rating range, etc. There might be some way to get to these options but they are not made apparent...I think the problem most people have with this app is that it is very difficult to navigate in terms of GUI.

But it's prettier, and I'm glad autopremote to queen is now an option - are premoves enabled now for mobile, or is that something that I'm still going to need to wait for?

Uh oh, the new app is being pushed?? I watch the beta forum and the app is not ready, please don't do this. Why do we have to do something special just to keep an app that works?? Why not just let folks who want join the beta do so and leave the rest of us play solid chess on a boring simple app?
