And Anna is crushing 'em! Woohooo!!
Go Anna, go Slovenia! :)
I think is a theoretical draw but difficult to defend in the practice. is that true?
Well, I have no experience, played it just once, but I wouldn't think so. :)
If everything will go as planned, than I will be playing such endgame in a vote chess game Facebook vs. Twitter. We will have the knight. :)

I've had K+R Vs K+N once, about ten years ago. Classical time controls (40 moves in 2 hours each, followed by repeating 20 moves in 1 hour each) against a stronger opponent. I had always believed, that the side with the Rook had a hard time prosecuting the win, and that the defence is rather easier. Anyway, I couldn't be bothered, as I didn't (and still don't) know any relevant techniques, and a draw was agreed immediately.
LOL, I don't know why Bela is even trying to win if she blunders everytime she gets an advantage... :)
Bela Khotenashvili just won the Neva Women's Grand Prix with two losses, two draws, and seven wins! Congratulations Bela!

Ask to my avatar's man :)
In Ukraina and south of Russia the letter 'g' is often pronounced similarly as the 'h' - loud in English.
Gorbachov used to say ( he is from Stavropol ):
'U nas mnoho, mnoho umnyh l'ud'ei' (= 'we have many many smart people'), and the 'people' were laughing about him...
In Russian, the 'mnoho' (='many') it is actually written as 'mnogo'.
This may explain why she is written as 'Lahno', or differently 'Lagno'.
