London System, Italian Game, Ruy Lopez, Queen's Gambit. All good places to start for white!
Thanks! Going to study after school.

I was in the same boat and started watching GothamChess on youtube, and I have improved so much. My rating has stayed the same because I am really careless and will experiment in the middle of games. However, I recommend the London System. It has worked really well for me.
I mean, maybe if OP likes to play defensive or is more familiar with Black openings? Then a3 would just turn your game into a Black game but with a3 already played.
Dude. Just bongcloud it with expert tactics. Openings only go so far.
London Bongcloud System, Italian delayed Bongcloud Game, Ruy Lopez’s Bongcloud, Queen's Bongcloud no-more Gambit. All disorienting places to start for white!
Italian Delayed Bongcloud system. Because of a check a simple pawn blocks it. White’s knight is stopped from developing.
Ruy Lopez’s Bongcloud or Spanish Weed. Wherreee did the knight go? I’ll just go check black’s king. Huh????
I'm bad at chess but I think that learning solid openings for black and white I can increase my rating and hopefully hit the thousands.
My gameplan as of this posting date:
If they play a weird first move, take the center.
If they play anything I am familiar with, play the wayward queen attack that everyone fell victim to atleast once lol
If they play a proper opening, just try to open the game up. I am decent at winning games of equal material where I can also use my queen, bishops, and rooks to full effect.
I've got my eye set on the Caro Kann which is a very solid opening for black. I'm also thinking about learning the Sicillian as well. I need to desperately learn some white openings, however. Anybody know some?
