anyone else get irritated when your opponent doesn't except rematch when you lose? I'm lol

Yeah but I just move on, you get used to it and after a minute or so you realize it doesn't really matter. Not everyone has the same chess mentality and to be fair Internet chess makes it easy to be detached from care about other players. Also sometimes people are just busy or something comes up
I like to play 1 game, then analyze, then take a break. I don't see any reason to do what you like instead of doing what I like.
I never think my opponent sucks. I don't have to prove anything. If you feel degraded - that's your problem, I don't feel degraded after I loose.

There are so many reasons why someone won't/can't rematch there is no reason to even think about it, let alone get upset about it.

i always rematch over and over and over, because if I don't, I might get drawn to play the FWC - and I'm just not prepared to take that risk.

It is you who are being arrogant. If someone doesn't want to give you a rematch that is their decision (and right) and you should respect that. End of case.

The shortest time control I play is 5|5 and I always analyze right after the game.

Shawnmarcum: I just saw your comment (#10). It wasn't there when I was posting my comment (#11). My first comment still stands but it occurred to me that if, as you said, you are resigning out of irritation perhaps your position is more playable than you realize. This may annoy your opponent because it can be anticlimactic to receive a premature resignation (despite getting the win). Could this be why your rematch requests are getting declined so often?

Its really irritating for me.. Sometimes I just lose my temper but than I realise that on the other side he might be busy with other things.. But hey just watch this super chess kids , what they are sharing.. The most shocking reality of chess https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=R9OhXch8G20
Just knowing there are some players out there who think I owe them even a nanosecond of my time and think of my refusing the rematch as "arrogance" is enough reason for me to decline rematch requests most of the time.
If that makes players who think like that angry or uncomfortable or whatever, even better.

Lol.. You have a point man.. Pal have you watched this https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=R9OhXch8G20

Playing a difficult position is always annoying but it is one way we improve. Knowing just when too resign so as to not irritate an opponent is a very tricky endeavor at best. I think it is best to continue the struggle until you are absolutely convinced that defeat is 100% inevitable. But personally I am one who is loathe to resign.

If you drop a piece and then resign and request a rematch, I have no reason to except your offer. Instead, I'll usually play you again.
