Are all chess players unathletic?

GM Simen Agdestein was a professional soccer player. He represented Norway on its national soccer team as well as its chess team.

Most chess players are very athletic in bed
How do you know? Many has a 'lay down' style in bed.

A guy in my club has been 7 times in a row the boxing champion of my country in his category... I would say no....
His name is Dennis, he is one of the guys of this video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sy1za7iJvc0) and he is quite good at chess too.
There are people of all kind and condition ...
Manny Pacquiao loves chess so he is a chess player. Pacquiao is one of the most athletic and healthy person in the world.

I would like to think it was the exercise that made him crazy, not the chess

One of my high school champions..D'... held several HS power lifting records for the state of florida and he started two years in a row as a D lineman for one of the top rated HS football teams in the state. :)

I've been thinking about this question for a while, you see, on the few tournaments i have participated on, all of my opponents were stereotypical obese or skinny guys with nerdy clothing and glasses. I consider myself an athletic person, considering my mainand favorite hobby being amateur soccer/football.
So, are you unathletic? are chess players as stereotypical as the media says?

I'm average. My usual daily ride is 45km at an average speed about 30kmh over some small hills. Pulse averages 150 and peaks over 180.
My resting pulse is low 40s

I'm not the most athletic, but I know quite a few people who are pretty athletic and they play chess quite nicely. So to answer your question:
No, not all chess players are unathletic.

The reasoning for this logic, I can only assume, is because most chess players are stereotypically "nerds", and nerds are stereotypically in bad shape (whether it be too skinny or too fat). When I used to play chess a lot in highschool, I was also in a basketball team that made to the Australian Nationals later that year.
BUT there were many people I did verse in chess were usually pretty unfit people. Are all chess players usually unfit? Not necessarily. I think it come down to the fact that the general population of people are unfit, and the density of unfit people increases when involving events that aren't related to sports.
So to answer your question, no. But the general population of humans aren't really fit, and you don't need athleticism to play chess all you need is your brain, so playing chess becomes an attractive task to do for people who aren't athletic.

Skateboarding, climbing, snorkeling and fisticuffs are my sports of choice, however it could be argued, that I'm no chess player.
I saw an interview with Kasparov, in which he described a somewhat strict training regimen that he would implement in his preparation.
He looks strong, as does many an elite master. The jacket hides it a bit, however, and I think we should all be thankful for that. Wearing clothes that are two sizes too small in order to accentuate heavy steroid use is best left with the bodybuilders.
