Are knights useless?

1. Their movement is unique which means they can fork any other piece (besides a knight) at no risk to themselves.
2. They can jump over other pieces making them good in closed positions, and can move without needing to make a pawn move.

If you really think knights are useless, just play odds games giving them up. You'll quickly learn how important they are.
Also, a knight check cannot be resolved by interposition of pieces unlike the queen, rook or bishop.

All pieces can lead to checkmate except for the king. Eg: killer pawn, killer knight, killer bishop, killer rook and killer queen. All awards will be given if you checkmate with a certain piece.
Megan, why not let us know your opinion and reasoning?

Sure they are.
Breathing is also useless, I have not noticed any improvement to my health from that crap.

There's a killer king award too. Hidden until you get it. For instance, if you move the king out of the way of a piece that delivers checkmate. Can't be via castling though, as there's a separate award for that ("castle victory"), which is also hidden.
