The system wants to create a challenge. If you beat someone very badly, your next opponents will be more difficult.
Are they cheating? I no longer understand
It's part of one's chess progression.
If your rating increases forever without sudden dips, then it's going to be really unusual unless you are already playing chess for years and come to Chess.com with a low initial rating.
I know that the site has a zero tolerance policy on cheaters, I can say that with 100% certainty after recently receiving a message from support regarding a cheater that I was playing against, I didn't know that the player was cheating but he/she was picked up and banned and the points that I lost were given back to me. I'm a new member so that policy makes me very happy, especially considering I'm paying to be a member. As for your games, maybe it's just a bad run of losses, I know that when I lose and analyse the game later I can see better moves or my own mistakes and then wonder why I didn't during the game.

Are you kidding ??? What the **** are you talking about man ? You are a biggest looser i ever seen in my life ! You was doing PIPI in your pampers when i was beating players much more stronger then you! You are not proffesional, because proffesionals knew how to lose and congratulate opponents, you are like a girl crying after i beat you! Be brave, be honest to yourself and stop this trush talkings!!!

i think that doing the same first few moves is pretty normal for many people through all ratings tho...

How could you know that..?

it's not about that it's easy, its about people's morality tho...

Didi you lose your mind or what? If you are that of a good player you shouldnt be talking like that.
I just don't understand. Is it normal for chess players rated from 850 to 1050 to make the same moves? More often than not when I play games I find that they do the same moves. I get it from 950 to 1050 because you are familiar with openings and general knowledge. But 850? I mean, I had to study a lot to improve my rating, but I struggle to make it past 1050.
Isn't it strange that I get to 1050 in rating and then all of a sudden I fall back again to 850? I mean what's the deal here? Am I that lousy of a player that I study my way to 1050 and then people beat me?
I honestly do not know what to think of players in this platform
Perhaps you can share your thoughts on cheating and losing in Chess.com. I mean, I have zero problem admiting defeat, but more often than not the way in which I lose are definitedly fishy
