Aronian is a chauvinist pig! Read the interview linked above.
Aronian claims that chess is a bloody war, rough and a "man's" game, but he himself is barely a man. GM Gormally punched him and he did nothing after sprawling on the floor. What a chicken. This is why I need #yesallwomen. Aronian is an uneducated idiot who has no idea of what he's saying.
LMFAO.
Aronian is a turd. Just like a lot of guys on chess.com :)
Girls Rock!!!
And your ignorant, just like 99% of ppl on chess.com are. But seriously Judit is good (at least she was when she played) but she's way overrated. Check the stats against Kasparov! 1 win in rapid for Judit, including both rapid and classical Kasparov had something like 16 wins against her. Ok so Shirov never beat Kasparov either, but still it's presented to the public like she is better then the 10 world champions that she's beaten when ovbiously in the case of Kasparov was not so.

You should try it on yourself, keeps you clean.

I'm all for women, in fact I believe every man should own at least one. But I found it more interesting learning about the Gormally thing, than reading about some 8 year old generalization of almost half the worlds population.

Way overrated ? She was #8 in the world at her peak, not really much you could do to overrate her...
And as far as Kasparov is concerned (and I'm a huge fan of both Jdit and Kasparov) it should be noted that at least one of his games against her was won is a way that was quite...fishy to say the least.
Kasparov made a move, his finger left the piece, he saw it was a blunder and moved back as if he had still be touching that piece and made a different move.
Judit did not complain because she thought noone had seen it, but unknown to her a camara had caught the whole thing. It only came out after the game sadly, but I always counted that game as a win in her favor, even if the official result was different.

But I cant...... U can :)
c'mon! stretch your tongue!

Bobby Fischer said the same thing, and the then Women's WCC challeged him and he refused. One of the main reasons Women and Non-Whites are behind in the skills of chess is because they were last to be exposed to the game- Blacks because of slavery...and Women because they were considered inferior (even by their own white men- only the bedroom and the kitchen they were told)...so the only group that played the game for most of it's time since creation were white males. I predict that if all three of these groups started playing the game at the same time...and then passed on their knowledge/encouragement to their offspring...then the level of play between all three groups would be far closer than it is today. Girls especially are disencouraged to play the game by their parents, and are often bullied in clubs when they do...a lot of them drop out because of this. Why do you think there are no great "Native Indian chess players? I am sure you can answer that one for yourselves....

Oh, Lev! What a stupid and pointless remark. Who did he think he was going to impress with that crap? Has he lost all desire to get laid on a reguar basis?

Off the top of your head who is the #8 in the world now in live ratings? It is actually Anish Giri, who has a 2773 (i checked his rating, but i knew that it was him in the #8 spot) FIDE rating. When Giri is being introduced in a chess news article it will say the rising dutch star. (for that is what he is). When Judit Polgar, (now #76) is introduced in a chess article it will say she has beaten 10 world champions and is the strongest female player ever. Now both of those things are true, however what is not true is the implications of those statments. A friend of mine interpreted it to be she had beaten them in a match (that is a logical conclusion!) which of course is not true. Winning one game in rapid against Kasparov isn't a bad score, but seriously, He beat her 16 or more times in rapid and classical and should they have played a match for a title If judit won a game i would be shocked. As for the Kasparov contraversy your right i believe that his hand left the piece for 1/4 of a second, however since she did not push her claim it was left as was, and cannot be changed. The result of a game once completed i believe can only be changed if the winning player cheated in some way (for FIDE tournaments) but i could be wrong......(combining CFC and FIDE). Anyway all that to say she was a great player, but is way overrated.
How long will it be before there are no threads in these forums except those comparing men and women players and involving insults being tossed back and forth?
Is Yasser Seirawan a male "chauvinist pig?"
Women In Chess
The Women's World Champion, Maya Chiburdanidze, has a numerical rating of 2500, compared with a rating of 2800 for Garry Kasparov, the World Champion. Professional chess players consider a Grandmaster to be a “class” better than than a Grandmaster with 50 fewer rating points. What makes Kasparov six “classes” better than Chiburdanidze? I don't know. I can only say that so complete is male domination of the chess world that very few women have earned the Grandmaster title. In an insult to women everywhere, FIDE simply lowered the performance level required for women to earn titles, thereby adding a new twist to the mysterious world of chess. Women can now earn Woman Grandmaster (WGM) and Woman International Master (WIM) titles.
Bowing to tradition, in this book I refer to all chess players as he. To those readers who might find the exclusive use of his pronoun offensive, I apologize. It reflects the current reality of the chess world. I encourage female chess players everywhere to change that. ("Play Winning Chess") emphasis mine
You throw feminists a bone (lower the standards to get more participation) and when that doesn't work go back to attacking men and giving excuses as to why women can't compete which always goes back to "sexism." God forbid if anyone disagrees with their position.

Chess and women have proven to be huge obsessions for many members on this site. The mix seems to be explosive!

Wrong. It goes far beyond chess. There is an attack on men in general. Here are some famous quotes from well known "feminists."
“The more famous and powerful I get the more power I have to hurt men.” — Sharon Stone
“I feel that ‘man-hating’ is an honourable and viable political act, that the oppressed have a right to class-hatred against the class that is oppressing them.” – Robin Morgan, Ms. Magazine Editor
“I want to see a man beaten to a bloody pulp with a high-heel shoved in his mouth, like an apple in the mouth of a pig.” — Andrea Dworkin
“The proportion of men must be reduced to and maintained at approximately 10% of the human race.” — Sally Miller Gearhart
“All men are rapists and that’s all they are” — Marilyn French
“Probably the only place where a man can feel really secure is in a maximum security prison, except for the imminent threat of release.” — Germaine Greer.

#90 is a bit of an eye opener for me. Could these quotes have been better designed to cause men to resent feminists? I believe, however, that the motive for the persistent raising of the subject of gender in chess is to cause argument and bitterness. Some people appear to glean some sort of entertainment and enjoyment from it. It's not as if the subject has not been given a thorough airing.
Throughout my time on Earth, persons who clearly love arguing and annoying others, even to the point of adopting stances whuch they do not genuinely believe in, have been a regular "pain in the proverbial" to me. I have learned to some degree to spot them early and avoid them.
