I have Playing 1.d4 - The Queen's Gambit and Playing 1.d4 - The Indian Defences.The repertoire is based on Exchange variation with Ne2 vs QGD , samisch variation vs KID,main line Anti- Moscow gambit vs Semi-slav and so. He choses sharpest and most theoretical variations that put black under a lot of pressure.

About catalan feel free to use it instead exchange variation against QGD.So you may to want use Avrukh vs QGD,QID and Dutch and Schandorff vs KID, Grunfeld and Slav .

whilst attacking with closed openings is possible its not going to be as easy as with e4 however if you really want most defences to d4 have sharp attacking positions for example in the KID [kings indian defence] The saemisch is a great way to attack against the queens indian the petrosian variation and last but not least against the nimzo indian im going to recomend this line d4 Nf6 c4 E6 Nc3 Bb4 Qc2 0-0 E4 against d5 attacking is going to be quite difficult the queens gambit wont always allow for an attacking position so I would recomend the london system but again its still possible to attack with the queens gambit

there are sometimes some plans with nge2 followed by ng3 and f3 and then e4 which lead to some sharpt positions.

If u guys, like a sharp game, then use Albin's countergambit. It happens after 1. d4, d5. 2. c4, e5. 3. dxe5, d4. Very interesting line. Advice u to improve it.
