Auto abort

Hi Im enjoying the site thanks. However on occasion during a game the site automatically aborts and I lose, its happened 3 times now the last game cost me 9 points. We were pretty much even but my accuracy was 80%+ and my opponent less than 11%. I was closing in on the king when it aborted. Wouldn't mind if it aborted and I was 11% so very frustrating.

Is this just a thing that happens?

I need every point I can get.

Disconnects affect a lot of people. You should try using the alternate connection settings in live chess settings.

Do you know how to increase the amount of time before auto-abort ends the game during live chess with friends? One minute is not enough time for my grandfather! Can the time for a move be extended within the time frame of a 30 minute game?

You mean if he/they disconnect?

No, but why not just play a daily game? They can play rapidly if they want or stop to take a nap.
