wow I totally missed it. Though, I sound surprised, it happens from time to time when playing blitz... but so early in the game.
Actually I think perhaps an element of that is an explanation, you don't expect your opponent to blunder, but the real blunder was that I probably rushed and totally missed it.

I actually played 2 against the same opponent. The first was embarassing (I knew it would be), but the second was one of the most epic games I have ever played!!! We both had to think a lot harder than normally. I won because he resigned, as he, as he said, couldn't think any more (!). I was up 2 pawns and a bishop, thanks to some cool tactical traps I set up in this super-crumped up position, and Stockfish gave me the immense advantage of about +13!!! I don't have the time to post them right now, I will tomorrow.

the mate in 4 you posted is a tactical attack which has only a few possibilities to be truth. most of players know how to defense it and many players expect it (they want their opponent make these moves and with a great defense they take the game). i dont know how a player with a rating like that didnt see and defense that mate.
