Bad Chess Bots #210

Sort:
Avatar of blosse13

This is the two-hundred tenth round of a chessbot series. We have 2 Bots competing. We will do one game a day until there is just 1 player left. These will be uploaded at around 9PM EST every other day. Also, the bottom 2 players that aren't tied with people outside of the bottom 2 will be eliminated.

Extra feature: Predict the result of the next game! At the end of posts put this point I will show the 2 players for the next game so that you can vote on who you think will win by using the 1-0, 1/2-1/2 or 0-1 emojis! The people with the most points and people with the most accurate votes (people with 5 or higher votes will be prioritized and people with less will get a (?) next to the accuracy,) (if there is a tie if accuracy, the person with the most points is prioritized and the other way around). will be put on a leaderboard. The full list will be on the spreadsheet linked below. I will be voting too so you can see if you are beating me or not! (if you vote multiple times, only your first vote will be counted.)

I have to introduce a new rule just for this chess series. The 100 move rule. If both sides have been playing for 100 moves and neither side has won, drew, or lost, the game is automatically a draw.

ChatGPT (Plays White): I ask ChatGPT what to play, and then I play that. It CAN make illegal moves.

The Long Run (Plays Black): Pushes pawns and captures pieces as much as possible.

Puzzles:
White to play M5, difficulty 3/10
Black to Play, Draw the Game, Difficulty 3/10
White to play, M3, difficulty 2/10

The next game will be Light Bishop vs Pawn Mover. Let me explain what both of the bots are.

Light Bishop (Plays White): Only plays on white squares.

Pawn Mover (Plays Black): Pushes pawns and promoted pieces as much as possible. If there are no pawns or promoted pieces, play the best move.

Comment 1-0 if you think Light Bishop will win, 1/2-1/2 if you think Light Bishop and Pawn Mover will draw, and 0-1 if you think Pawn Mover will win.
