Bad losers...

I know this has probably been covered a thousand times before, but people that disconnect, or wait hoping you'll disconnect, when you've just captured their Queen, or got yourself into a near checkmate scenario, drive me insane.

Is there a name for these people? Something we can tar them with.

"Bad losers"

ChessCrazy22

Unfortunately, bad losers are part of all competitive endeavors.

I once played an OTB tournament game in which the opponent had a lone king after the 58th move against my rook + king, then proceeded to play on until move 68 before resigning in the face of mate-in-one, even though it was clear from move 59 that I knew how to perform a R+K vs K endgame.

Brutal!

But what can you do???

I think the best solution is to simply win the game as quickly as possible and move on. Unfortunately that sometimes means a lot of waiting around for the other player to step up and take their licks. That OTB experience is one I will never forget - especially since my opponent decided to take an inordinate amount of time on each move after I gained the clearly won position - but if I took anything from it, I would say "don't let the person across the board get to you."

I'd call them "Players who lose their Queen".

Personally, I am a bad winner.  I like to teabag opponents via a webcam and generally shake my body parts at the screen when I win.  Good thing I dont win often really.
