Bad Manners during a game. Must read!

So I've been playing games, and I get kind people, really kind people, that's why I love this site. Sometimes just teasing each other, but going too far? That's not as good as expected.

 

So my last game was against Samrat1Ashoka from India, the move that gave a mate in 3 made me offer a draw because there's a chance that he will accept it.

 

Samrat1Ashoka: Just give up you coward

EzraChess627: Do you seriously think I give up?

Samrat1Ashoka: Then why are you offering a draw you Filipino coward?

EzraChess627: Now you're describing Filipinos?

Samrat1Ashoka: You are finished.

 

I can't believe what he said. Filipino Cowards? How dare you describe filipinos like that. Congratulations, Samrat1Ashoka, for being popular in chess.com because of your behavior.

Now samrat, meet Eugene Torre, a chess grandmaster in the 80's and he is Filipino. And in my chess club, there are 10000 people who are rated 1500 and above. 

 

Samrat1Ashoka, you deserve to get banned. Your behavior, just offends me, I'm a proud Filipino, having successes at competitions throughout the world, but what do you have? A mouth, a mouth with no brain. So please admins, please give this guy some punishment.

*bongclouds your comment wasn't very helpful. Also this might seem weird but today I experienced a rude player. He not only was weird and making me feel uncomfortable he was focusing on time and playing dumb moves...

His username was YOUarePROGRAM. Not first he IMMEDIATELY typed "what program do you prefer, stock fish or Komodo?" Now chess.com isn't for advertising and also he's chess strategy was horrible for his rating 1500 something... He moved all he's pawns up in split seconds! Then just danced around with his pieces...

This thread is gonna get locked. So before it does I want to agree with bongclouds. But maybe in a less harsh way. First, he called you a Filipino who is a coward. He did not say all Filipinos are cowards. That's also very mild compared to many of the messages I have gotten. If you think someone calling you a coward is bad then you're in for a rude awakening.

But at the end of the day, report him. Calling him out in the forums is a bit immature considering you don't actually have a question or topic of conversation, you're just here to vent about (alleged) childish name calling on his part.

Tensions boil over and people can fly off the cuff (although calling someone a coward is pretty tame in my book, and actually kinda funny). You won, right? That should be all the response you needed to give. You get the last laugh. Screw him.

If your opponent had a forced mate in 3, offering a draw is just asking to get insulted IMO.

Erik makes a valid point!! I always simply have chat switched off. It's enough for me that the wife keeps babbling to me whilst I play!

i hope samrat starts a thread about cowards who offer draws 3 moves from mate but meanwhile ...

I should agree that this should be locked. People, don't say anything rude to Samrat, please. I understand that I should've reported him first OR disabled chat when needed. Thanks for the information!

You are pathetic. Offering a draw just before you get mated is bad sportmanship. You deserved the insult.

offering a draw with mate in 3 on the board? WOW. terrible behaviour by you, you should be ashamed of yourself. also, it's not allowed to shame other users in this forum.

 

I agree, however, that the other player is also to blame for his racist comment, that's a no-go. So in conclusion, you two should both be ashamed, very childish behaviour from both of you.

speaking of bad manners. what do you expect to accomplish by naming and shaming, which is against the site rules
