Bad sports - preserving the evidence

I've used the snip tool to capture some rudeness and a few other reportable messages from various players.  With the snip tool I have a picture of the players' name and their comments.  I'm not sure how to use these now though.  I can copy them and paste them into my own docs but not into posts here - so I can't put them on the offenders wall for example as a warning to others or use them in a report to moderators.  How should I preserve behaviour and comments I intend to report as it is happening eg mid game?  Does that make sense?  Many thanks.

It is against site policy to call out other users for bad behavior. You can block them and if the problem is bad enough, open a ticket to staff. Tou can also use the Report button on the player's profile.

@AliMcK Screen shots are great, but please don't delete the messages or user notes after you have done so. You can then report the person using Help --> Report Abuse --> Contact or using their popup profile --> More --> Report. You should get an automatic email reply and then the Support team will contact you via that email and you can give them the screen shots then. They will be able to check the messages and user notes as well to verify that the screen shots are accurate, and will take the appropriate action and let you know about the outcome.

Don't post the screen shots or don't name the alleged offenders in the public forums, as that only escalates the situation and doesn't bring it to the attention of the people who can actually do something about it.

I hope that helps! Cheers,

David, moderator

Thank you.  Yes that helps.  Some days the rudeness bothers you more than others, doesn't it?  I'll do that in future.  If I press the report next to the players' profile though nothing else happens.  I've done that a couple of times for time wasters when I've been really fed up.  Do you then get the whole game and the comments too?  I've just assumed you do - and presume that if they get enough strikes against them they'll be dealt with.  Do I have to screen shot the comments separately to this?  Thanks again.

stop snipping!

I love snipping.  The day I found the snip tool was a good day.
