Been away

Haven't played much for months and just had a few live games. I certainly notice that a much greater percentage of my games are against guys who seem to be playing to lose. Is this a trend?

I know it happens more at lower ranks but it really is pathetic and annoying. It seems so tedious to do it just to win tournaments and boost their egos or whatever other reason I still can't fathom

Example?

I've never experienced it.

I think it has a lot to do with the fact that chess.com lets people on the live server for free and does nothing to combat multiaccounters.  So, in the 1000-1300 rated range on here you're very likely to experience low quality games by either a) total casuals or b) higher ranked players with more than one account who just aren't taking the game seriously.

Once again...the solution for this is: Get a 3 month sub for $19.95 over on ICC.
