If you are innocent (which should be the case), no amount of reporting by players will cause your account to be closed.
On the other hand, for me I will usually ignore it, but I do usually report players for verbal abuse/accusations from time to time.
Just sharing something with you guys. I was playing some chess after a long day just trying to chill and I play against this guy. From the get go he messages me and says: 'your winrate is sus', 'you're a cheater' stuff like that. Ok, whatever let's play. I get out of the opening, I get a nice position, while he makes a couple of inaccuracies and I take advantage of that. And he surrenders on move 12. The game wasn't over but whatever, in his mind I was definitely a cheater so why keep going, was probably what he was thinking. Now if you check the game you can see that I missed an obvious tactic there on move 9, which probably wouldn't happen if I was cheating. chess.com post analysis shows me playing with 99% accuracy which doesn't mean anything because the game was mostly just me getting a good opening and spotting a tactic after missing one. But he probably reported me, and idk what the chess.com policy is, or whether I will get banned, to me its completely unreasonable but this is the life of 1200 rated players ("if you play good you're a cheater"). Anyway long story short, I didn't cheat. I know I have a good win/loss ratio but that's because I play 1-2 games a day, I analyze them and just basically learn a bit day by day. Some games I have over 90% accuracy but if you check the games, these are normal games where the bar even switches on my opponent's favor from time to time because I do make mistakes. So, I know some of you will think: "If i wasn't a cheater then why am I explaining myself and making this post". And you're right idk why I am doing this, but don't think about it too much because I don't care either. Getting banned won't stop me from playing chess and improving.
