Best chess style

Hi guys I am a super begginer in chess, I know the rules very well but I get destroyed by my friends and my father in a chess game.

Recently I have been playing the Magnus app on ipad and he wipes the floor with me at age 5. So I am worse than a 5 year old.

I spend a lot of time working so I cannot dedicate a lot of time to endless practise but I want to find a quick way to get good at chess.

Does anyone know the best style to play? something that has a very high winrate so I can master it instead of trying to learn many different styles/openings.

If someone knows a good style with a an amazing win rate please tell me! thanks would help me a lot!

Basic tactics should do you fine

If there was such a style,  wouldn't everyone be playing it ... thereby neutralizing it and not making it a high win rate ANY MORE? :)

Seriously though ... the only way to get better fast to beat casual players is to play a lot of slow games, get your mistakes critiqued + explained by a stronger player and then make sure that you won't repeat the exact mistakes in the next game.

Sounds simple enough ... but just like dieting to lose weight, willpower is what most people lack to commit and follow through.

A style shouldn't be a conscious thing but something that just naturally happens from playing what you think are good moves and following (or preventing for that matter) good plans.

Whatever your style is you'll need to be good at endgames.  If you positionally squeeze an opponent they'll force exchanges (beneficial for the side with less space generally!), if you're an aggressive calculator you'll brute force your way into what you perceive to be an advantageous endgame, etc.
