WIth 8,149 new members in the last 24 hrs we are gaining members faster then ever. Some of those that left could indeed be back with a different account name. New accounts are hard to track but chess.com does a great work in this area 
I always hope members that have left will return. Cheers

i feel poorly for the site i once knew. there is no denying that changes have affected some where they might not want to log in, and, i'm one of them. i used to anticipate coming to cc to see what others have written. in the past few years, i come to the site and, if i have no games where it's my move, i move on.
the social aspect of this site seems to have become drivel that kids eat up.
This is very dippressing. :( I hope they're doing well.

Are you seriously depressd you don't see the same screen names on your screen? I would imagine most of these trolls have only returned as something else, bringing the same tired ideals to these fora.
Kaynight seems to to be the only one sane enough (did I just say that?) to spend half a decade here with no break.
