As the saying goes: You never lose when you learn. So, with that in mind, what's your best in-game* engine and why?
By 'in-game' I mean: those tough games when you're losing... Seem all but down and out, and your last chance of getting any rating points is by consulting your favourite engine. My own personal favourite is Fritz. In real, dead lost situations, this genius little engine always manages to turn the game around and has left many of my opponents literally pulling their hair out, not knowing what in the hell has gone on or how they lost such a winning position.
Please note: as this is about learning, engines must ONLY be used when you absolutely cannot find a winning move yourself. To consult one every time you have even the slightest difficulty defeats the main objective which is learning.
