Try anything without lyrics because that can be a distraction... I usually listen to spotifys peaceful piano playlist, or, if I'm feeling like a hypocrite, ill bang on Fred Again and rave while I'm playing rapid

Honestly it could go both ways music could both compete for attention but it also promotes creativity it depends on what kind of music you listen to. I find that music helps me be more creative and I listen to this track quite often.

If you want to know if it benefits or harms your games I recommend playing a few whilst listening to music and judge/review your games to see which did better.

I don't listen to music because my brain is in music when i play 30 min. In shorter time control my brain is in omlette. In daily, i cannot set the time in what i should play music streaming, because i cannot set time in what time my opponent moves , and what time i get notification in app, and i don't know whether i always blunder or i play too good

I like jazz as I think it helps me think outside the box. I do like one song from Art Blakey and the Jazz Messengers- "The Chess Player". It is on the "Big Beat" album. Broaden your music horizons and perhaps broaden your chess horizons as well.
