That's partly because you NEVER brought your queen out.

In this line, I may have deployed her at about move 14 before trying to mount any attack.

It is helpful to remember these things during the opening:

Develop before attacking; unless you see a very strong advantage to be gained by attacking.

Get the minor pieces active, the king to safety and some influence on the center.

Really. Focus on these things in your games for a while and you will start to see improvement in your opening and, probably, your rating.

I dont understand why I would do that as im trying to inprove that makes very little sense.
