Please refer to the numerous other forum topics which talk about the sometimes seemingly excessive demands of non paying members.

And it seems a lot of people who pay for something are self-righteous. Your pedestal isn't very high.
I've previously alluded to it privately with a more specific purpose in mind, but I think the ability to tag discussion topics across the board (many tags to many topics) would help the search and cross-reference capabilities immensely.

A consequence of such a powerful facility being available would be that many of the existing organising schemes would become redundant, as they would just be special cases of a generic, integrated scheme. e.g. forum categories, groups, friends, countries.
