Bishop or Knight
It depends on the chess position. They are both worth 3 points of material, but many chess engines and top GMs evaluate the bishop decimal points better than the knight. Objectively, this may be outright true, or it may be connected to the potential of possessing the bishop pair (which most GMs estimate to be about half a pawn in value). That being said, I still like knights even if they may not be objectively as good.

Hi Seto! Knights are my favorite because they can jump pieces and attack inside a pile-on. So as you say 'It depends' upon the board. In an open board, Bishops are better but when the diagonals are closed up (particularly with long pawn chains), Knights RULE! And two Knights together are just as incredible as two Bishops (criss-cross applesauce) - I just love saying that!!
At least that's my opinion and I'm sticking to it. ;-)
