Bizzare chess positions
Interesting game crazychessplaya. Thanks for the link. I managed to track down the moves leading up to it on youtube.
What about the position in this puzzle link where the OP claims that it was taken frm one of the games that he actually played? How did the white bishop get out from its starting position?

Good catch with the bishop, it could only be a promoted pawn (unlikely), so the game is fake. Here is another famous position:

His "puzzles" are terrible.
And keeping on topic, here's a thread you might like.

Its always fascinating to see where every game of chess ends up positionally and sometimes you look at a board where the game is 3/4s finished and wonder about the series of unique moves that led to that position.
Is anyone aware of any games where the board position looked extremely bizzare or very improbable? Either one of your own games or some famous ones? Bonus points if you can offer the series of moves that led to that position. A cursory search here hasn't revealed much.
What got me thinking about this was some of the starting positions of puzzles that I have seen on this site. I offer a few links to "puzzle composer extraordinaire" yitzd's puzzles by way of example (although I'll hazard a guess that they're not from actual games but have been dredged from the depths of his psychotic mind).
