Blessed Brain ???
Anyway, no, it’s not all luck.
True. Keanu Reeves is a moron, but as Johnny Mnemonic he could store 100s of megabytes in his brain.
Ok, this is not GB, but the movie was made in the 90s so give him a break. Megabytes were a lot back then.

I know my brain will never be up to playing as good as GM, & I except it. I'll be happy to die a 1600 player ![]()
120-130 IQ, good spatial reasoning, above average memory, and proper training before 40 and all the required hours, and you have a GM.
i think it is harder than that darkunothodox. i have been playing chess for about 2 years now, have an iq of 170, a nearly perfect memory, and am incredible at spatial reasoning, and i am at 1700. Also, im not trolling, ask my friends. im 14

then you have good reason to suspect your IQ is off ![]()
two years to 1700 is pretty darn decent. its not exactly prodigy level progress, but that's not necessary either. It took me 3 to get to 1800 strength as a scholastic player.
there is a world of difference between a GM that touched 2500 rating once and got his three norms vs 2700 GM's. "vanilla" GM is quite difficult but its not super human intelligence. Its above average intelligence and herculian levels of work ethic and work.
