Just played a game. 2D, the board is white and blue and the pieces were white and black. Though strangely i visualised it from my opponent's perspective. It worked tho

I have played a number of blind fold games, it's good training for visual awareness... however what all this talk is of 2d or 3d board colour is all about, that's nothing to do with genuine Blindfold Chess, I suspect your talking about looking at a chess board?? Blindfold Chess as I have been involved in is "NO VISUAL VIEW" of any chess board you put on a blindfold and your opponent will announce his or her moves in Algerbratic Notation and you reply accordingly!!?

I believe the OP is asking how those that play blindfold visualize the board. Do they see a board and pieces in their mind's eye, and if they do, what does that look like.
