Well, which ever one you're more comfortable with, as long as you're seeing the position correctly :). I'm not very good at it myself so maybe you'll want someone else's opinion. I try to see the current position not like on a computer screen, it's more of a 3d board, but then when I calculate a line it kind of turns into a 2d thing.

which type of board do you visualize while playing blindfold chess? 2D, like on a computer screen or a real board?
i just started out practicing blindfold chess. shall i stick to one type of visualization, or mix it up? (I'm not sure with which i'm more comfortable yet)
