I am pretty sure people with +700 rating player' blitz has more quality than lower rated player' OTB.
e.g. 2700 blitz better than 2000 OTB
2000 blitz better than 1300 OTB.
I meant between two players of equal rating in different time controls, eg 2100 rapid vs 2100 blitz.

War would kind of be like this if it was blitz or bullet: Pawns charge and try to destroy. Boom, they get destroyed. 5 seconds later, oh, let's mobilize the bishops. This would be good except you still haven't clarified what counts as chess or not. Of course its not good chess, especially at lower levels - but is still chess by definition. You seem to be under some impression that a few minutes is not enough to plan even marginally ahead.

If blitz wouldn’t be chess, it would be a bit surprising that the World Champion in chess is doing so well also at that game. He won the last three blitz World Championships and did well already in 2009. Just look at the scores against some decent opposition at the top of that table…

Bullet and blitz are part of chess, but it doesn't really help your play in tournaments that much.... so unless you just play chess for fun, playing speed chess shouldn't be something your actively doing (my opinion).
