I think the OP didn't express himself very well and might just lack some experience.
Obviously the duration of your thought process during a game is not indicative of anything, but I believe what he means to challenge is the quite prevalent and misguided view, most commonly perpetuated by antiquated, conceded GMs and beginners who blindly regurgitate their ramblings, that Blitz games somehow require less skill and understanding of the game than longer time controls, when it is very clear that this is not the case.
Longer time controls are employed by serious tournaments and beginners who are still honing their skills.
The majority of advanced play, especially considering online games, occurs in the Blitz realm nowadays, that fact is simply self-evident.
