Their movement is harder to visualise, in blitz it's easy to leave yourself open to a knight fork.

Here's a quote on blitz chess that I recently found:

I don't play blitz very often, and in regular chess I prefer bishops to knights, so I don't really understand this statement. Could someone explain to me why this is the case?
