It depends on my mood. If I'm tired and just want to win I play blitz because I usually win on time. If im up and ready, I play long because I want to win by checkmate
Blitz vs Long

30 min is still considered blitz
Ok, in real life (i.e. OTB) anything under G/60 is considered 'rapidplay'. In online chess, anything over 10 minutes (I believe regardless of increment) is 'long'.

I think you learn more about chess, and perceive/appreciate its complexities more, from long time controls (I have anyway) and consequently you get more out of the game that way.
Just for a bit of education, bullet chess is less than 3 minutes each, blitz is 3-15 minutes, and rapid (and onto slow) is over 15 minutes.

Blitz isn't really my cup of tea, but NO time limit games are just annoying and ridiculous of you ask me. I'll take a good 30 0 or 60 0 over a 3 minute game any day.
UNLESS, it's a casual, over the board game with a buddy. THEN, no clock can work out, and I'd pick that. :)

One minute quick chess is best; frantic, balls-to-the-wall attacks ensue with no fear of shame due to the "time constraints", so my vivid imagination soars.

Blitz seems more fun to me on the internet, but in real life... well actually blitz seems more fun to me in real life too. But at least there a longer game can be tolerable.

I only play Long.
If I wanted to play a quick game that required less thought, I would play something other than chess.

casual games I always play 5 on 5 blitz.. it's a standart for casual games as it's quick and fun and nobody really cares about the result..
for tournament play I prefer playing long games.. in Israel the common time control is 90+30 fischer (meaning 90 minutes per game + 30 seconds per move) and it's just the right time for me
If you had to pick between blitz and a no time limit game what whould you pick and why. some times I like blitz becaues I get saved by time or I lose by it so whats your favorite??
