Blocking troll feeders

Should troll feeders be blocked on chess.com? by my opinion they should since they help increase troll activity.

What is a troll feeder? Technically it all comes down to intent. You could have chosen this thread, to try to decrease their activity and have inadvertantly stirred them up. I am sure some intentions are obvious, but some people are trying to just have fun here without being despicable, distasteful, obscene, agravating, etc. I realize we are all able to use our own judgment and form our own opinions. I however didn't think blocking someone, stopped them from posting in the forums. I didn't even think that it stopped you from being able to see it, especially if it is quoted.

There is no such thing as a troll feeder. A troll will enter any forum/thread that they think they can run amok in. Yes, if you block someone, they can see forum topics, just not the ones that you post. The said victim of the block, can no longer enter/read any forum you creat/have created. There is no way to stop trolling, but the block button is used as a last case option, so don't go around blocking people for the heck of it.

Yes let's block everybody who does things I don't personally agree with.

I have a number of trolls blocked. If more people did this, they would find all but their own tiresome threads inaccessible.

The next thing is to not post in their dreadful bait threads.

so many of you are being so judgemental... it's just a simple thread where I shared a sentence of my opinion. troll feeders are simply annoying people who keep it going with trolls, etc.

Does this count?

I think the simple answer is to have a spam forum. I don't see any harm in a few people who want to make situational humor from the posts of others. If the others don't want it, I am ok with that too.Thats why there must be a place where those who don't like trolls, shouldn't then tread. Trolls need a place to live too. Good luck getting rid of em. I say encourage em to stay peacefully over in their neck of the woods...

You might exceed your 200 block limit here. It also seems like it would be much more effective to just block the trolls. There are very few real trolls on chess.com, but plenty of people to take them seriously and unwittingly feed them. If it's not happening to your own thread then blocking is pretty much pointless anyways. If it's happening in another thread all you have to do is stop paying attention. You don't seem very good at that.

They have those, FYI

Some people are annoying to some other people. Learn to deal.

Yeah, yeah, yeah...here's a catnip mouse, go chase this around the kitchen and knock yourself out.

But the Parham! I'm not the one to argue this, go find another one.

If you're blocked, you can see the thread just fine. You just can't post.

Several IM's and GM's have won with the Parham Attack.

I could show you several games.

Nakamura himself got a draw with the opening against a 2600+ rated player.

Cat is too needy of attention, that it jumps in pictures?! It wasn't pet enough as a kitten. Sad isn't it?
