Blunder Town

Just resigned a daily game because I suck. I could've cornered my opponent's knight had I played bishop f8. However I got too excited and played
ke8 expecting my opponent to put his knight on h8. I was thinking he was going to resign. So he just took the h6 pawn and was no longer cornered. Ouch. Not even an oversight really. Just a flat out blunder. No excuse in a daily game. Anyway just sharing how much this one hurt

Strangemover

Did you resign immediately? It's a bad mistake of course as you say but I think there are still chances to draw. The knight is inferior to the bishop in this scenario.

You may be right, Strangemover. Unfortunately i did resign right away. I was frustrated with myself.

You can't corner his Knight - 1...Bf8 2.Nh8 Bg7 3.Ng6 Ke8 4.h4 and the Knight will save itself. No matter what configuration of moves you play, you can't trap it.

Thanks for having a look, Aussierookie. I'm gonna blame my blunder and bad calculations on my 11 month old for waking me up at 4:30. This way it's not my fault lol

I tried playing this position against the computer. It didn't care about the knight being trapped. It just pushed the c pawn.
