I was going to recommend Encyclopedia of Chess Wisdom by Eric Schiller, but you said intermediate whereas that book is geared more toward beginners. If you can stand the typos it's actually an okay book.
For an Intermediate Silman's Reassess Your Chess 4th Ed. might be a good choice. You should probably get a separate book for endgames, such as Silmans's Complete Endgame Course from Beginner to Master, since endgames are important. You may be an intermediate, but you could still have novice endgame skill, even if your skill is above beginner in endgames just review those parts anyway for good measure.
Can you recommend me a book that encomprises as much as possible (openings, middlegame, endgame, pawn structure, tactics, strategies etc.) and which you consider the best? (for an intermediate player)
